“Dave and Stephanie, you are absolutely fabulous hosts! Your B & B showcases a delightful atmosphere filled with lovely flowers, pictures, furniture, lighting and ocean treasures. This small adventure has been one of the best experiences of my life and your easy going and loving attitude have been no small part the reason for this….thank you so much.”
– David

Sugar Loaf Hill B & B is located within walking distance to the charming, historic village of Wakefield, RI, scenic waterfalls and river walk, quaint shops and a variety of restaurants from pubs to fine dining. We are close-by the Atlantic Ocean, Narragansett Bay, Narragansett, Newport, Block Island and the University of Rhode Island. The Sugar Loaf Hill Bed and Breakfast is nestled on 2 acres in a charming historic area, peacefully surrounded by stone walls, hollies, rhododendrons, and large shade trees.

The back of the house, built in 1720, served as an original farmhouse for much of the surrounding acreage. In the mid-1800’s, the much larger main house was added in the front. Six of the eight original fireplaces remain in use, including three that are delightfully shared by guests in the dining room, living room, and den.

Guest accommodations have been renovated with modern baths for guests’ comfort. Three rooms, all with private baths, are available with twin, queen, or king beds and specially appointed amenities. Two porches stretch the length of the house, inviting you to relax in one of the rocking chairs.

Guests enjoy a hearty, full breakfast each morning, served between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. Enjoy a well-blended cup of coffee and a delicious entree to accompany lively conversation and a generous helping of hospitality. For guests on the go, a continental breakfast is available from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. A guest refrigerator and microwave are also available.

Loved it!! Breakfasts were wonderful. Had so much fun talking with other guests and Dave & Stephanie. A must for returning.

Blessings to you for providing such a tranquil setting, wonderful hospitality and food to die for.
The calories are hanging on our hips!

Last minute stop with no regret. Great company and hosts…..never forget. Thanks for conversation and fantastic food. Sincerely never to be disappointed. Will return again some day. Perfect place, people and stay!

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Breakfast was fantastic. It was so special, waking up to the aroma of bacon and eggs, French toast and coffee. Your home is classic and beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Our only previous Rhode Island experience was a visit to Newport which was lovely. Staying in South County though, showed us another side of your beautiful state. You have a lovely establishment. Thank you for your hospitality and your great suggestions.

Wonderful food, lovely lodging and delightful conversation.

This is…….When your dream of a b & b turns into reality! Amazing
